What Is Astrology & Why Learn the Cosmic Science?
A conversation with John Coleman about my favorite astro 101 book, and an upcoming in-person class

I recently talked with my friend John Coleman, of the Apocatastasis Institute, about my favorite astrology 101 book: Caroline Casey’s Making the Gods Work for You.
John, having had no experience with astrology - beyond the mainstream version of sun signs and horoscopes - had asked me for a book recommendation to get to know what this astrology thing was all about. I referred him to Making the Gods Work for You, because not only is this book accessible and fun to read, it also has (in my opinion) the best introduction to what astrology actually IS.
As I like to say, “I don’t believe in the same astrology you don’t believe in.” There are a lot of misconceptions about astrology, including that it’s a “belief system” or a form of “fortune telling.”
In our one-hour conversation, we take a deep dive into the “Visionary Activist Astrology” outlined by Casey, the higher potentials of working with astrology - as well as the potential shadows of this ancient art and science.
